Well I got the wheels off the beast.  They are waiting for in the morning.  I take em to the shop and get em put on in the morning.
After that I pretty much got her set up for the ride.   I am really looking forward to this ride.  cooldude
I'm putting on a Cobra on the front and a Battleax on the rear.  I've been reading all the problems everyone is posting on the Avon.  I hope I got one of the good ones.

Oh...Cobra and Bridgestone....with the title to the thread, I thought you were talking Trojans.

Never mind.

I put new rubber on the front earlier in the week.

Then today, I got real dirty.  Tore apart the rearend.  Checked brake pads, rear wheel bearings, greased up the splines, and replaced the dampeners.  Never done it before and was very pleased to be able to do all that in 2 1/2 hours.

And it was REAL fresh in Wizard's mind, as he'd just replaced the rear tire on my I/S and his standard, checked brakes (redid the brakes on my bike, they were really screwed up -- no wonder it hasn't stopped right since I bought it!), bearings, etc.  Did my front wheel, too.

So we both have new rear tires.  I'm ready to go!  No, wait, I haven't packed yet, and I'll be gone 2 months!!
