At $28 vs. $100 for the Mother Honda brand, I figure they're worth a try. I may regret it but as the saying goes, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."

It's certainly your call on that. But I have to say, if your pad material compound is too hard relative to the rotor alloy then your rotor wear will accelerate. And if you think OEM pads are expensive wait until you see what rotors cost!  Shocked

I think the best wisdom I've learned here is to match pads with rotors to avoid premature wear. Honda with Honda and EBC with EBC, etc.

I've been a proponent of Kevlar brake pads for twenty years now. Kevlar pads are less abrasive yet heat up quickly thus less damaging to the rotors.

I've never experienced "squeals" or "chatter" and they give the rotors a nice polish.

Kevlar pads get my resounding approval!

EBS pads are fine with honda rotors IF you buy the CORRECT EBC pads.
they make several different types.
go to the EBC website and see. Smiley

Are you refering to the Kevlar pads on E bay for 28$?  Will those pads fit a 98 standard / are the brake pads the same for all years and models. Thanks Raymond

I use Kevlar pads on my 97 and they work just fine. I'm keeping a close eye on my rotors too.  police

Same here, I changed the rears and will use them on the front at the next change. I think they stop better too. I bought mine on ebay.

Not sure if I got my order in, in time.  Site said 1 set left and now says none.  My Mastercard has been billed.  My last OEM pads from dealership cost me $42.72 per pr. including my 10% "discount" plus the state 7.5% sales tax.  A 50% discount is pretty good, even if I only got one pair!
