Hey there all,

Just thought I would share my most recent mod. FUZZ Buster!!

This was incredibly simple to install. Just clipped off the cigarette lighter adapter, and wired it straight into the headlight assembly.

Drilled a 10mm hole in the windshield...front and center, then mounted using an "L" bracket.

If you've got a similar set up share pics below!!

James

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

I know! I really wanted a short haired valk, but the long haired was so much more comfy to ride. : D

I also did it similar. But I used the oem radar mount and drilled a hole and used the middle windhields bolt. My pouches were different tho. When I went to the bat wing I just smashed the oem radar mount down real tight and slid it over my pouches. I never take it off to wash the bike or even in the rain. Been on for 10 yrs. Saved me alot of times!!

No. I'm use to hearing it with my tunes. It needs to be louder and I have missed a few cops, which I was pulled over for, while I had the tunes cranked.  Angry No problem at night since I can see the lights with my periph vision.

I had one that I mounted under the headlight with a bracket I made myself. The unit had a rear facing sensor also that I mounted on the back fender.  There was a blue LED to mount on the windshield that would flash when you're being clocked.
There was an optional light that you could mount on the inside if your face shield that would receive a signal and then flash.

I couldn't hear any audio alerts and could barely see the LEDs.  There were so many false signals that it was more of a distraction so I tore the whole mess off.

I 've had several detectors, ones that covered all of the band widths.  I keep my eyes on the road instead of the detector lights. Been very lucky so far (knock on wood)  No tickets ever while riding the bike.

yes I totally agree. After riding a few hundred miles with mine, it's evident that it's only going to be useful in town. Highway speeds are no place to be distracted when you're on a bike.

Well at night you can see the lights out of your side vision so its not really a distraction. I can hear mine if I listen for it. Still no distraction. More distracted by lady joggers.  Cheesy
