I honestly don't know the exact where of where we went, I know we were beside of the Alleghany River (even though that's probably not the right spelling) where everything seemed to be Foxburg Inn, Foxburg Winery, so I'm going to deduce that we were in Foxburg, PA.

All I know is that Dino told me that the ride would be nice, mostly two lane curvy roads with a good lunch at the other end. That sounded good enough for me. He gave me good directions to the Sheets where we were going to leave, after that I just fell in line. Six bikes and 11 people (mostly couples) met up at the gas station and off we went.

I fell in behind Dino with the rest of the mixed brands of black bikes behind us.

Perhaps it is because I've been cooped up all week studying and not riding, or perhaps it was nice getting my wife back behind me, or perhaps it was just that nice of a day because I had a blast.

Dino put together a nice route that was mostly right turns at non-busy Sunday afternoon intersections that kept the together well. The group dynamic moved well which is important in a Sunday afternoon ride.

Here are a few pics to share:

Nice scenery along the way.
The food was good. Conversation was good.

Ya know,
if I would have seen a post about this ride I could have gotten out of a graduation party.  Evil

Probably not, but I would have thought about it real hard and weighed the options of angering SWWBO and taking a ride to the Foxburg Inn. It is not quite as far for me as it was for you, and I like running 68/268 because its good road.

Not sure where you started, however it looks like you came in from the east side, hung a right N on 268 to Foxburg at the Parker bridge (the big green one). If you go that way again, a left at the Comet shop (gas station at end of Parker bridge) will put you on 268S which will take you to Kittaning on 2ln road where you can hit 422 which is 4ln for a while. Ice cream place at intersection of 68 and 268 FYI.  68 through E Brady and Sligo is a nice ride. The overlook at Bradys Bend is a place where you can almost always find a bike or 2.
Rimersberg to Punxy is a nice ride if you are not in a hurry. I would NOT ride it dusk or night. It is cornfield up to the road and the deer are corn fed sized. I like to eat venison, just not raw off the triple tree tenderizer.

Speaking of deer, the fawns are walking sized now so the doe are moving them around. They get confused and mom tries to protect them so there can be a big and a little deer on the road for a while until they get a plan together. I had a fawn spinning on the road trying to figure out where to go last week on the bike and a doe and fawn crossed and recrossed in front of me yesterday in the truck. Both in the mid afternoon.

Wow!  What kind of truck was that doe driving?  Now there's a scary thought.   Wink

If I wasnt heavy on the brake, it would have been a Avalanche or Ram
