I have the bearing on order. Has anyone done this. What kind of tool did you use to get it out?
Bikers for Babies is coming soon to KC have to be done before then.

I cannot imagine that bearing going bad!
What were the circumstances?
The pinion must necessarily be replaced also!

I feel that you are replacing things that do not need replacing.
Namely the bearings.
The bearings for the most part are easily inspected for damage. If they are Ok, they are good to use.
Quite a bit of unnecessary expense.
A good and careful cleaning of the bearings is all that should be required.

There is a hole in the side of the bearing housing. Thats the only axcess there is to the wire keeper ring. If you don't feel like you can do it then use the old bearing. Just clean it out good and use it. But take my word for it you can not get the bearing out without first removing the wire keeper and that has to be done through the small hole in the housing. I was not joking when I said you need DENTAL TOOLS.

I see the keeper in the hole. You can only push on it a little. Does not move but a very small amount. It does not seem like its enough to help remove the bearing. If I can't get it out I'll have to take it up to the Honda shop. Hope I get someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Still have not been able to get bearing out. But then again the new one hasn't shown up yet anyway. Have a local machine shop I'm going to take it buy there and see if they can take it out and put the other one in.
