I would have to say my brand new 1973 suzuki 500 2 stroke twin.Left sided kickstart,47 hp,comfortable 2 up saddle, very dependable. One cycle magazine tried to make one over heat. They rode in death valley in 113 degree heat at 95 mph and it never overheated.I still wish I had one of those.

Early 70's Honda SL350.  Street legal 4-stroke dirt bike.  A blast to ride, simple to maintain, and virtually bullet-proof.  One of my all time favs.

One we had or one we wanted?

The one I had - my first - the CL70.  Freedom at 15.

The one I wished I could have had - BSA 750 Triple.  One of the people on my paper route had one and I drooled over it everytime he had it out in the driveway.

Sorta' like the cherry '62 Chevy Nova convertible and the '66 Impala SS396 that people on my route also owned.

Funny you should mention Midnight Special...... Roll Eyes

STILL got me a XS850 Midnight Special in the garage. Have to admit though that she has not seen that many miles ever since Sigrún Valkyrie moved in 4 years ago....... shame on me  Undecided

Have an old 1974 Honda cb750 SHO in pretty good shape. She still runs like a scalded dog! Needs a little carb work but I still love her. A gift from my dad, has been kind of cool riding the same bike my dad rode when he was my age.

However, the Valk is here now and the wife is pushing for me to down size.....actually we are trying to find her a 250 or a 400 so she can learn to ride. I love the old bike but she is for sale!
