Valk, Standard 2001 .

I want to replace the bolts, but I am uncertain about what kind of threads this is??

According to book, it is  8 x 48, and 10 x 50 bolts, but what kind of threads?
( My ordinary ( whatever that is ) nuts don't fit on the bolts!! )

I have the idea to make bolts with a nut in the outer end, so I can just remove the nut when i want remove my sadle bags rails. More easy for washing and stuff,,

Thanks Smiley

1.25 metric....your Fastenal dealer has them; pretty cheap.

Just to clarify the former responses. Both bolts are 1.25 pitch. The 10mm is a fine thread and the 8mm is a standard pitch for their respective diameters. You have a good idea to use allthread and get bolts to place on the outside. Rattlebars use to call that a bagdrop kit.

 cooldude  Great Idea.

I didnt think of that before...but purchased EZ Brackets from the Chilhowee website, they are very sleek and when your bags are off the posts blend in perfectly,
