I tried a little Honda Moly on the trigger sear on my Ruger Super Blackhawk, and it made for a super sweet letoff.  It also worked well on the sears on some military bolt rifles.

I'm glad somebody found a good use for it.

I use it on the pushrod bushing in the clutch lever.  That part is wear prone and a solid lubricant like moly helps.

Just curious here.
Is antiseize a good enough substitute for some moly pastes??
Or actually the other way around.
Moly paste should make a great antiseize I would think.

Anti sieze is a grease with graphite in it. It's for threads where dissimilar metals are involved. (steel bolts in aluminum) In the absence of anti sieze, I've used grease to help prevent corrosion on bolts.

Prefer to use Moly Powder on some applicatios where I prefer things to stay dry but slicker than hog snot.  Dry Moly powder won't hold grit or any contaminants.
