Installed EBC rotors and sintered pads while back. Was heading out on trip monday thought better check pads.. they were due for replacement..  Could not find any at any bike shops in town.. Honda dealer said honda pads would be fine.. asked them more than once if they were shure as the EBC rotors were very ruff.. installed corectly after cleaning lubing and bleeding.. pads lasted about 25 miles rotors just ate them up .. noticed rotors were much smoother now did the rotors get ruined or can I install new EBCs and go from there? Thank you for your help Dave M

Honda and EBC brake components are incompatible.  You have a choice to make.  Either go all Honda or all EBC.

I think that is too broad a statement regarding compatibility.

Organic brake pads are the easiest on all rotors regardless of the make of pads or rotors.

Organic brake pads including Kevlar, and are all considered to have no metal in their composition.

Pads that are not considered organic are: metallic, semi-metallic, sintered, and ceramic.

When you rub metal against metal there is going to be wear. Harder metal wears out softer metal.

A thorough metallurgical review of non-organic pads versus metal rotors is the only sure way in determining which pads are best with certain different rotors.  Or you can depend upon the hype perpetuated by the manufacturers.

Organic is the way to go.  The pads wear out quickly, but are inexpensive, they work well and leave the rotors nice and shiny & unworn.
