NEVER BE DEFEATED; STARS AND STRIPES, FOREVER!

Lewisville, TX

« on: September 16, 2012, 02:24:50 PM »

Fellow Valkyrie Riders and Afficionados:

I picked up a used, but new and never used, motorcycle floor jack in Denton today for half the price of a new one; it is "shiny" >LOL<.

At the mini-wrench party a few weeks ago, Dave and da boys demonstrated their neat solution for using the same floor jack, using four threaded floor concrete anchors and removable screw eyes on four corners to balance and restrain our beloved bikes while working on them.

This solution is perfect for my garage and setting, so if Dave or the audience could elaborate on the anchor types and screw eye sizes appropriate to the job, I'd grrrrrrrr-realty appreciate it!

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I used 1/2" x 2" lag shields and 3/8 screw-eye bolts.

The screw-eyes come out when not in use.  Mung that accumulates in the lag shield holes vacuums out.

They form the corners of an 8' x 8' square, BTW.
