I recently got an Interstate to go with the long time owned Standard.  While doing some recent work (shock bushings, change exhausts, rear tire and spline maintenance), I was looking at it and thought why not take off the trunk and try make it a SuperValk.  What I need are suggestions (or pictures) on mounting the radio and CB antenna. I was going to try mount them on the rail on the inside of the saddlebags, but that wouldn't work with the trunk back on. Also, any suggestions on where to now mount the CB.  And lastly, any suggestions on a taillight assembly? Thanks in advance,   Gary.

Hey Gary,

Sorry I haven't called you back yet...been real busy.  I have converted an Interstate into a SuperValk.  I used antenna brackets used for trucks (that clamp to the mirrors) and clamped it to...well...whatever it would fit on.  On the bike I converted, it had bag rails.  I can probably make it over there this weekend if you want some help on the bike.  Let me know your schedule and I will find the time.

For the taillight, it is a little more difficult than just the taillight.  You also have to change out the wiring to get the brake light wiring into the taillight.  When I converted the one I did...I got the two sections of wiring for the Standard/Tourer.  It has all the connectors and wires you need for an easy install.  Then you just have to make the connections from the wire set to the bike.  As for the taillight itself...check Pinwall on Ebay.  He might have one available.  Then order the proper gaskets from mother Honda.  The wire set is also available from Honda.

Here's the parts list and pics on std/tourer tail light for supervalk.

My antenna is clamped to the right rear of the top saddle bag rails.
