aerostich or chaps?

Perfect riding weather finally.I get catalogues all the time with expensive riding apparel in it.Do you think a valkyrie rider should wear leather or aerostich? I think if you own a BMW its aerostitch, but on a Valkyrie I wear black leather.one because i look good in it, and 2 because my bike is a muscle cruiser and black leather seems to go better with it. i have a black carhart coverall for really cold weather.reason I am asking, my leather jacket is 20 years old and the zipper is getting worn out andI might be buying new.I'm just curious about others choices in their cold weather stuff.I hate wearing full coverage helmets so I have one of those wrap around masks for keeping my chin warm.I own some chaps too but for me they arent warm at all. Just curious.

I use
www.motoport.com
IMHO the best.
one of the favorites on
www.advrider.com
including threads showing get-offs at 60 mph and how the jacket/pants survive and no injury. They come with armor.
I use their Ultra cordura 1000.

Well moto racers wear leather ..
When I wear leather . It's NOT chaps .. I wear Full leather pants...
Chaps are for riding horses...
I will also wear ballistic cordura pants...
And either Motorport jacket or Joerocket Leather/mesh...
Or ballistic JR winter jacket...
Highbinder Wears Full leather pants...
Or Heavy leather coat...
Or his JR Leather/Mesh armor..
Or JR Winter Ballistic coat...
Good gear saves your hide...Foresure

I wear Sliders Jeans with Kevlar built into the improtant parts (knees, side of legs, posterior) and a armored textile jacket. If I was riding at racing speeds, nothing but leather. You HAVE to wear leather if you are running the bonneville salt flats. I think thta says it all, buy hey, I'm looking for protection on the cheap and it saved my bacon already once last March. Hit by a Semi at 70mph, no road rash.
