I'm thinking of leaving on the 20th July form Nashville, Tn for Inzane. Plan to travel to around Oklahoma City area the first day. The second day mabe Santa Fe NM then on up to Inzane the next day. Thought about camping but then again if I can get a room for a reasonible price may do that. Oklahoma seem to have very good rates at their State Parks for camping. I never riden through this part of the country are there things I need to know before heading out? Anyone out that way heading to Inzane those days? Any comments will be appreciated.

You'll be adding 300-400 miles to your trip by doing that.  Unless you just WANT to see Oklahoma, Texas, and Eastern NM, I'd advise against that route.  I'd take the northern route and save yourself that 3-400 miles.  Get yourself to the mountains in the most efficient manner possible....then enjoy.  I-70 through Kansas and Eastern colorado isn't much better, but at least it will be shorter. Smiley

I will say that from Santa Fe north, its some beautiful country. So if that what you had in mind, its worth it.
