Sorry but as a Christian, I just don't understand abortion as a form of birth control...
I hear ya. But the real question is: Does a Woman have the right to choose? I too would hope her community and her friends and family could support her in making a different decision. But I believe it is her body, her decision. Not anyone else's. True, but why should taxpayers pay for it? Birthcontrol is not that expensive. You make your choice, you pay the price. -RP |

I agree, it is not a governments issue to decide, nor is it the Popes or Ala or Buddha or ....
The choice belongs to the Women.
Who pays is another subject all together. A discussion for another time maybe.
With respect to the 14 year old girl.
My hope is that she heals and lives to see her dreams come true.
My thoughts and prayers are with her this evening.

Sorry for getting off point...however I still don't understand why a woman has the "right" to kill a baby...if so why not be able to kill one a little older when they get in the way later in life or misbehave...just sayin...killing is killing no matter how you sugar coat it...let the fetus/baby argument begin...

Let's hash over a few discussion points:
Islam does not = the Taliban. While this is technically a true statement, it does not mean that Muslims are peaceful people.
Look at the "hot spots" of violence worldwide, not just now but over the past 30 years and you will see that they are predominately centered in the muslim world.
This is not merely by chance, the premise that Islam is a religion of peace is a MYTH.
One that is gladly propagated by Muslim leaders, but it is still a MYTH, after all actions speak louder than words. Making that connection is like me saying Everything I need to know about Christianity, I learned from Hitler. It just doesn't work that way. Adolf Hitler is a VERY extreme example to use, not exactly apples to apples by any stretch of the imagination.
Hitler did mention Christianity many times in his writings. He paid Christianity a lot of lip service in Mein Kampf, and he claimed to be a Christian.
However, his actions tell a different story.
Among other things he is responsible for the death of nearly 6 million Jews.
NO "true" Christian would ever dream of persecuting any group of people like that, much less "God's Chosen People".
I'm not a Muslim, nor am I a sympathizer. I just can't stand to see hate propagated like this.
You see it as hate.
I see it as the COLD HARD TRUTH........... and sometimes the truth isn't pretty.
I don't think that 14yr old girl (RIP) wants to be lumped in with those who kill the likes of her.
No, she probably wouldn't but I'll bet that she still considers herself to be Muslim.
Is everyone that practices Islam evil like Adolf Hitler ?
OF course not, but Islam itself is.
Islam is evil because it breeds evil and then neither acknowledges that fact, nor does it denounce the evil that it has spawned.

Agreed. "Choice" equals "murder". Why is a woman applauded for exercising her right to "choose" an abortion, yet someone who harms her, and causes the "baby" tp be aborted, can, and has been, charged and convicted of murder? I view both as murder. Why is it a baby when someone causes the fetus to die, yet it is a lump of flesh, if the mother "chooses"? MP |

If this young woman survives, I think some liberal needs to explain to her, the "war On Women" means not paying for her birth control.
Can you say more Trynt? I for one believe denying Women the right to choose, is War against Women. It is their body, it is their right. You and anyone else who uses "war" in that context is mindlessly hyperbolic. In the U.S. the abortion matter has been settled by the Supreme Court. It is a dead issue hyped by the both political extremes. The Left uses it to inflame and pander to their base as does the extreme right. Sorry if I offended you. I was just asking what you meant by your comment. In Canada, at the Federal level, a vote was had only a few weeks back to determine when a fetus is a life that must be protected. In the US, I heard Romney's running mate put his position out there very clearly, not pro-choice. So yes, the supreme court has decided, in both our countries. Do I think we can let down the guard? No, not for moment. Nor was I referring to the US in my comment. The young women in question is not a US citizen as far as I know. I was pointing out those on the Left, who blabber about "The War On Women" when referring to the question of free birth control, look silly when faced with this tragedy. But I think you already knew that. |

"Until Muslims start demonstrating in huge masses against Muslim extremism, they will always be looked at with suspicion. I don’t want to hear “let’s all get along” or, “peace among religions”. I want to see THOUSANDS of Muslims demonstrating in the streets of multiple cities, with huge signs declaring “this is NOT Islam:, “don’t listen to these crazy nuts, they don’t represent me”, “this is not MY religion” and being televised on every channel for weeks. I want to hear the same thing from the king of Saudi Arabia, from the king of Jordan, and from every well known Muslim figure in the world, on all major channels, on CNN, on FOX, on MSNBC, ABC and local news…I want the Muslim world to publicly and vociferously denounce religious terrorism without accusing someone else as the reason for it. Then and only then will the Muslims be believed. Until then their silence can only be interpreted as a tacit approval of the status quo".

This is Absolutely TRUE................ If the muslims of this world EVER want to give ANY credibility to their "Claim" of being a peaceful religion this MUST happen. Don't hold your breath waiting for it though. |
