I know of someone who has an Ultimate seat for sale, and as it came with the bike when he bought it, he doesn't know if it's a Lowrider or Bigboy.  Is there a way to tell without having it next to a known seat?

Just look at pictures on the Ultimate site and of the bike in question.

The Big boy is 2" taller, and flatter without the scooped out seat of the Lowrider.

Lowrider:

Bigboy: Edit... funny mine (probably 10yo) does not look so scooped out, and is more flat.

FWIW, I have one of both, like both, like the bigboy better. (And I'm 5"9")

If you sit "in it", it's height is lower than oem, and it crushes your nuts, it's a lowrider.  If you sit "on it", it's an inch higher than oem, and it doesn't crush your nuts, it's a bigboy.

I just looked at the pictures I used to sell my lowrider and there are three stickers on the bottom of the pan.  One says Valkyrie Lowrider on it.  Check with the seller to see if his seat pan had stickers on it.

From the photos posted by Jess, it's looking like a Lowrider.

Depends on wether you wear a belt or suspenders.

Also note the smaller triangular-like design cut on the rear raised portion of the seat (Left and Right side of the V. They are smaller on the Low-Rider vs the BB.

Here was the BB example, note the longer pattern cut on the raised rear section.

The constant "jewel"-reminder isn't "as" noticable when used with the Standard/Tourer tank. With the IS tank, its much more noticable. Of course, that may depend entirely on the package itself.  Roll Eyes

Should be a label on the bottom of the seat

Easy way to tell if it's a King BB is the backrest is bolted to the bike. On a BB & LR it goes through the seat. On the Standard & Tourer models anyways!
The LR has a bunch of lower back support!
Got KBB's on my bikes & Kim has a LR on hers... Tried the BB but she likes the LR better.

I talked to Des at Ultimate and told him I liked the seat , but I felt I was always sitting on my balls. He told me I was the only one he ever heard complain about it, but wished he had that problem. Hmmmm!

How wide is the seat you are interested in at its widest point?  Gary

If the question is put to me, I've only seen two photos of the seat.  Now that we've determined it's a Lowrider, I'm not interested in it, so I'm willing to pass on the listing to those who might be interested:
