Adding a set of LED lights over the off-season and was questioning whether the double-stick tape provided on the back of the multi light pods and strips is sufficient.  Of course I would clean the surfaces thoroughly, but I'm question the strength of the adhesive on the tape in areas around the wheels.  Is there anything you can recommend for inner fender or brake caliper applications, or other places that may receive wind or weather?

Thanks!

I've had 6 of the 3 LED pods for more than 8 years.  Once ya stick 'em on (after a good cleaning of the mounting surface) they stay put  cooldude

Mine are mounted on the frame (pointing down at the Kury Transmision Covers), on the carb choke slide covers (pointing down at the valve covers), and on the front frame by the steering head (pointing forward and down).

i have the light pods with 8 led lights in each pod made by kuryakyn they have the 2 sided tape and installed under the tank and other areas that arent effected by water and weather they work fine in areas like inner fenders under swing arms or exposed places i use strips of velcro on the fender and the other side of the velcro on the light but cleaning the area with alcohol is a must i have over 600 leds on my bike currently 8 per pod

I think it's 3M makes a "permanent" double sided tape that is extremely tenacious.  Can't tell you were to find it but I'm sure some googling and/or surfing 3M's site would find it.  I have also used "Goop" silicon glue to good success for securing LED fixtures and other things in wet locations.  I have LED's mounted inside my front fenders among other wet places.
