For years, I have run a set of Kuryakyn Silver Bullet lights ,down low, mounted on the bottom of the engine guards.

I was thinking about changing them out as I just broke one.

I use them mainly for safety, increasing my visibility , I hope.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for some other types of lights for visibility to oncoming traffic. I really don't need additional lights, for more lighting, as I don't do alot of night driving, trying to avoid those forest rats!

got two different sets of lights at Wallyworld, both 55w halogen.
They make you very conspicuous and about 20 bucks each pair (one was chrome, the other black)
you can also get 18w LED on fleabay, about 67 bucks a pair, have 2 lights running on one 5 amp fuse-1.6 amps each. They make sure all see you coming, but they are 3 3/4" diam.
To be seen by oncoming, engine guard mounting is the best way to go.

Brighter than my H4 55/60 interstate bulbs on bright.  And tough/waterproof.  Should fit your existing mounts at the same location.

These are the Chrome lights Ricoman is talking about.  He sold them to me for $100.00.  Said it was a great deal, just didn't say for who.  I put them on my bike some time ago.  IMHO they look good, plus they help fill in the area in front of the bike at night on either hi or low beam.

Pardon the schmutz on the bike.  I'd rather ride it then wash it.

Hey Chiefy,
I think you got an extra zero in there.
not a hundred if I only paid 20.
No question, they can see you coming!

Gotta love the chrome ones from wally world. Almost identical-ish to the Kury ones.  Get replacment bulbs at the hardware store in the garden lighting section.

i put some cheap yellow leds on the bottom of the crash bars. very distinct.

separates me from the cars and trucks. i think anyway.
