Day 1. Rode down with a few friends of mine. Walked around for a long while, not too many bikes at first. Saw 4 valks out there, one was 99 blk\slv, looked at the od and it read 23K. the guy walked over and was from Florida and he said it had 223K. Not a member of the vrcc either. Mine was the best looking Valk out there Wink

I spoke with our VRCC brother, Richard Graham of Motor Trike fame, and he wanted me to let everyone know that he will be working the Motor Trike booth at the rally and would love for any and all to stop by and say Hi!

Meeting some work friends at the Ihop next to San Jacinto HD at 9 in the morning for breakfast.  We will ride down a little after 10.  Have to beat the bunch from Stubbs that leave there at 11.
Will probably take 146 down to the strand area.  Should be 4-5 bikes.
C y'all down there.

Was that you and your wife that ride behind our little group coming down 146?  It was a red and black IS with pod lights.
Glad you got to come down and enjoy the rally.  Hope y'all didn't get caught in the rain Sunday morning.

it was suppose to be an hour tour and took an hour and 45 mins. Lots of interesting facts for a home that has survived 3 major hurricanes, 2 world wars, a depression and has a long family history. The tour was only 8.00 per person, so not bad.

We went down there Saturday evening.  Quite interesting, but a high level of stupidity going on.  I fully encourage folks to have fun, but it worried me a bit when folks with questionable sobriety and unknown skills (even when sober) start revving their engines and popping their clutches when they're in a narrow pathway lined with people.  Only saw one wreck on the strand, when one idiot popped his clutch while another guy was stopped in front of him.  The guy in back locked up his front wheel and went down, sliding into the guy in front.  Luckily the only damage was for the idiot.  He looked too drunk to really care.
I did have one pucker moment when I was walking past and someone riding by tried to high five a pedestrian, and ended up wobbling straight at me.  He managed to get it under control before I had to test my agility.  I think I would have failed the test.

All that being said, we had a good time.
