Currently have Cobra 6x6 pipes on my 99 std with baffels in them.  Thinkin bout changing to Cobra shorty/slash cut/turn outs with no baffels.  Other than the sound, should that make any changes to performance?  The bike has been previously rejetted. Yep, I know that Speedo won't let me lead any more rides if I do this, hehe.  Larry

WHAT? I can not hear you, Larry!

Why? You already have a noticeable (seat of the pants dyno on Goose Bumps) lose in power having gone to the Cobras from stock. Why not dyno it before and after just to see? ~Jeff

I don't have an opinion on the pipes you are suggesting, but I'm from the louder is better camp.
Just remember Doc, we'll always have room for you in the back of the pack.

There's nothing wrong in riding in the back unless you're behind harleys!  Then you better be good at dodging pieces and parts.

If you are thinking of going louder, look into some custom-molded ear plugs.  I got mine from Big Ear Inc. at the Cycle World show in Ft Worth last year.  Janet got hers at the ROT Rally.  I'm sure they will be at the show in Dallas this year and they are at the Ft Worth gun show this weekend.

My 2bros 6x6 straight pipes will give me a headache and leave my ears ringing in just a few miles.

I'm still looking for a pair of unmolested IS pipes that are in great shape.

Didn't Blade buy some straight pipes for his Valk, maybe he will sell you his.
