I'm finishing trouble shooting a no start/no headlight. It looks like it will turn out to be caused by the contacts (not making contact) in the switch. I am now re-assembling and do not have "diolectric grease" but I picked up something from Radio-Shack and wonder if this will work?
"Premium High Density Thermal Compound" Can I use this stuff?

Thats for ensuring a good heat transfer from ICs to their heat sinks.  Not sure if its the same stuff.  What you can do though is go to the auto parts store and look for bulb grease.  That will be the same stuff.

Wouldn't use heat sink grease.
White Lithium grease will work though.

Doug, when you come over for the BBQ lunch ride, I'll talk to you about installing the relay to take the high amp load off that start switch.

John

PS: Have to check my "stash" but might even have a spare relay.
