I quite in 1990.   cooldude

Don`t miss it, but I did want one for a year, after all those triggers  tickedoff that make you smoke are hard to beat even times when I did have it beat they would pop up and triger a resopnce in my head I need a cig and my brain would tell me I don`t smoke anymore but they would still pop up now and then.
All the money I have save on them was amazing and at todays prices for them is unreal.
Good luck to all who are trying to quite hang in there it`s not easy but worth the fight.

30 years of two packs a day and I've been free for seven years. I still get a longing when I get a good whiff, but never again, not even one. Because I know where that would lead. I feel better, look better and smell better (according to my wife)  Smiley

This is my 26th year smoke free. Gained a lot of weight, just lost 65 lbs. so I'm back to where I started, but w/o the cigs.

Was a two pack a day smoker, but could never stand to light up when I first got out of bed. It was usually within the first hour after I got to work that I had my first butt, and kept it going until about an hour before bed at night. I quit cold turkey one morning on the way to work, tossed out the pack I was carrying and one in my brief case, along with my 509th Bomb Wing lighter I got as a reward from the CO. Never looked back, never touched another one, never had the desire since that morning. I smoked from the time I was a teenager and through the time I spent in the military. I quit within a year after discharge, best thing I ever did for my health.
