I have a new to me 2000 Interstate.  It was delivered and various parts were shipped separately, including the tool kit.  I found that it mounts in the left saddlebag with a rubber strap.
On the parts list of the tool kit, it shows a rubber o-ring type of band next to the strap.  What in the heck is the o-ring for, as the strap holds the tool kit in place.
Not a very technical question, but it has me wondering.

Hey Brad,

The o-ring is just the strap that holds the tool in place.

The tool kit lays in the bracket in the left saddlebag and you hook the o-ring on one side of the bracket and stretch it over the tool kit and attach to the hook on the other side of the bracket.
