I/S headlight change....i'm confused

is there a headlight adapter ring on the stock set up?
the article in shoptalk had a link to electricalconnection for purchasing
an adapter ring.
is there one of these on my bike now or do i have to buy one?
i like to have everything i need when i start working on it.
thought i'd try the 9003 bulbs. walmart has them for $11.88 for two.
honda dealer wanted $30 for an oem bulb and i assume it was one bulb.
i'm not a mechanic and i have big hands but i want to give it a try.

You might want to try the Ultra Silverstar. They are a lot brighter. Had them for one year with no problem. As said above, you just have to snip the bottom tabs and put them on.

Will they still be properly aligned when you snip/bend the tabs?

I can highly recommend the Silverstar Ultras. Well worth the extra cost. I also used the adapters and everything works well...JTL

I discovered a long pair of needle nose pliars with a 90 degree end can get a much better grip on the connector than I can even with the speaker panels off.

I use the 9003 cool blues Sylvania's in my I/S. I just bend the 2 lower tabs back and put them in. No adapter used, just plug and play with no problems. DO NOT remove the screw that holds the bulb retainer arm.
