I would definately be up for it, but wouldn't it be a bit too far north for most?

Would anyone be interested in the Prairie House where the breakfast was last Saturday?

I'd pass; way for far for me on a work night.

I don't get out of the clinic until 6:00 to 6:30p on Thursdays.  Those far north meetings keep me from participating.  Sorry.

What's good in the Plano/Frisco area?  It's not my normal cup of tea so other than Love and War on Plano Parkway, I'm a bit blank.   The last 2 meetings have been in Grapevine, so we need to go east.

Still looking for suggestions but I'll make a call this evening if no one has a place they want to nominate.

Isn't Plano/Frisco still NORTH Dallas?  Lot's of places in and around the Stemmons/Walnut Hill/Northwest Hwy area that are biker friendly and easy to get to.  We "used to" (Texas term) have meetings in those areas that were well attended.  We have had meetings along the I30 corridor in Arlington and the Hwy 183 corridor in mid-cities.  Could we move to those more central areas periodically?  Just my humble opinion and it is probably worth what you paid for it.  OK, back to your regular programming.

I'm open to suggestions, Doc. Throw me a bone.

It's nice to have a separate room to ourselves so tell me a few spots to consider. Soulman's in Rockwall?  Somewhere else?  I know anyplace picked will be difficult for some to attend but that's why we rotate them around.

There's a new place (great burger & other stuff) called QUAKER STEAK & LUBE in Carrollton. NW corner of Hebron Parkway & SH 121 SB access road.

They have a meeting room.

We got a good turnout at the Rockwall Soulman's last time.

I agree that we need some suggestions from those EAST and south.  I'm completely unfamiliar with that hemisphere.

Edited to correct direction to my right as I face north.

Here are a couple suggestions:

Babes in Garland
Po Melvin's in Irving
Ballard Street Cafe in Wylie
Steak Kountry in Sachse

I never been there but I heard that Sali's Pizza & Pasta in Garland is good.

The bbq was good and the fellowship as well as we met at Soulman's.  Doc and his child bride Phyliss, BNB Tom, RainMaker, Stretch and his child bride Delores plus their sons Adam and Eric were there to talk Valkyries, politics, economics and - oh yeah - Valkyries.  Doc said there are motorcycle rallies every month and he will post when there is one coming up to keep all informed.  We discussed the Wild Game dinner and also future rides to Meers Store and Greenwood, a new destination place for burgers found by Valkpilot, Tom and others in the recent weeks and a Sunday lunch ride to Vaughn's Catfish on Lake Bob Sandlin.

I reported my wife Margaret is walking without a cane and driving herself around 24 days after having her right hip replaced.   Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers - can't believe she is healing so quickly.

I know many could not attend the meeting this time and hope to see more of you in February.  That new burger place in Carrollton sounds interesting.  Please mark your calendars now for February 7th, the first Thursday instead of our normal 2nd Thursday meeting.

   THAT'S for sure!

I'm 11 weeks out from knee surgery and it STILL gives me a sharp reminder (more often than I prefer) every so often.

You'd think a youngster like me would be out jogging and bouncing around on a trampoline by now.

Meetings are normally the 2nd Thursday of the month from 7-9PM.  In February, due to Valentine's Day, we're going the first Thursday.
