The "little door" on my ignition switch went fubar and was giving me trouble (hard to get the key in)
so I got a whole key replacement kit from HDL, two keys, new gas cap, new seat lock, new cylinders
for the bags, new fork lock, new ignition switch) for around $100.00.

If you go this route, you will still only need to carry one key.

If you get just the bag cylinders (they're available too) you'll save money, but need two keys.

I haven't installed my kit yet, the little door totally disappeared into the ignition switch and the
key goes in easy now. When I do install the kit, I expect there will be a whole bunch of tedious
fumbling around, especially on the seat lock - might skip the fork lock (never use it)...
