My son, Phillip, which most of the DFW guys have met, was in the Kaufman courthouse this morning on jury duty when the shooting occured.  He went through the lockdown and was a bit shaken when they finally lifted the lockdown and let them go home.  He is OK and we are grateful he wasn't injured.

Happy to hear your son is ok, I'm sure no one would want to go through this kind of event. Seems these shootings are getting out of hand.

Crazy!  Good to know Phillip is OK. cooldude

My son's school went on lock down Thursday after there was an "incident" (school district's word) nearby.  Apparently, someone was seen with a gun and the Sheriff was called.  Don't know anymore details...could have been an overreaction.  The tough part is that there has been no followup information from the school district.
