Went on a ride with Charlie (Land Elephant) from Angleton, down to Surfside, over to Galveston, on to the ferry, all the way to Winnie, and over to Port Aurthur to meet Bob, Charlie's friend.  Then we rode down 82 which goes down the coast and over into Louisiana.  We ended up at the Isle of Capri for a buffet lunch.  We hopped on I10 and blasted back to Houston to catch part of the Super Bowl.

Here is my rear view picture headed West on highway 6.

When I got to Charlie's place, he showed me his new Ural.  Here are a few pictures of this 2-wheel drive motorcycle. It's really built heavy duty and is way cool.  There is even a boat oar on the side of the hack!

Our bikes on the ferry on the way to Boliver.

Bridge on Hwy 82.

LA.

Some of the South Texas people will have to tell me what these are.  I thought they were nuclear reactor towers, but they don't really look like the ones down in Bay City.

At the Isle of Capti.

I10 on the way home, West of Baytown.

Weather was perfect and it was good to get a ride in this time of year.  Good to meet Bob too.

Thanks Charlie.

WOW, right thru Beaumont, and I could've been on the Brooks Rd overpass to wave.
Good report Jimmy and with pictures.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Glad you got to ride, Jimmy.  Great report.  Hope to meet Charlie sometime.

It was a good ride.  The weather was good and it is always nice to get out in the wind.  Thanks Jimmy for coming along.

For all the riders in the area (Texas), I'm alway willing to ride.  Don't usually schedule anything because of my work schedule.  For example, I found out Thursday that I was working Saturday. As Jimmy would tell you, I believe I texted him Thursday if he wanted to ride.  Sunday we rode over 400 miles.

If you want to ride let me know.  You can send me a message here or PM me.  As I said, I don't make my plans very far in advance but always willing to have someone show me more of the Great State of Texas.
