November 8 work for anyone?  By then, the barn should be ready to roll, and ready to host a wrench party.

My Valk really needs one, but I will be in Korea by then.  Maybe I can find a babysitter for her. Grin

What's the word on that, by the way?

Rocketman, we *almost* suggested you haul it over here if you want to.  Wizard would enjoy messing with it, and we hope to have the barn put back together sometime next week.  But we didn't know what the status was with the insurance.

Cross your fingers, everyone -- we're hoping for roofing tin by Wednesday!!

Even with fresh water rinsing, it just got crustier and crustier.  The pipes were trying to rust; the alternator looked terrible.  I don't even want to think about the wiring harness.
They hauled it away yesterday.  Insurance will get back to me in a day or so.  I am inclined to buy it back, but we'll have to see some numbers first.
I hope to have an update soon for everyone.

Did you strip the chrome goodies and add-ons off of it before you let them have the Valk?  The insurance companies don't seem to give you anything for those type of goodies.

If it were me, I'd be tempted to find another I/S and put your chrome and other goodies on it versus never feeling secure when riding the salty dog.

If you decide to buy the salty dog back and repair it, let me know.  I'll just plan a trip to visit my son in Aggieland and then drive another couple of hours to help.

Yeah, I pulled a lot of stuff (CB included) before they hauled it away.  The Valkyrie I picked up this week has most of that stuff on it already, so I won't need it.  Still thinking about what to do with the old one.  That's a topic for a new thread.

Do you have any "stuff" needing a new home?  I am always on the lookout for shiny 'stuff' to bolt onto my scoot.

I haven't yet decided what to do with the "stuff", although I didn't have all that much in the way of shiny extras.  Once I decide what to do with the bike as a whole, I'll comment here again, so if it needs a new home, ya'll will see it first.

Consider it confirmed.  Sorry, I thought I'd done that already ... I'm a bit distracted lately.  But, today I got half a roof!!!!  Maybe tomorrow they'll get the other half of the house done.  Crossing my fingers.
