I am sure this has been covered before, but I will ask anyways. Thinking of going dark side this year. I do almost exclusively 2 up riding. Anything to be aware of going DS in this situation?

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Nothing more then the 'normal' DS stuff. Tire psi will help 2 up. To low it will feel bouncy in curves. My tire is rated to 44 psi and I think I have it at 38-40 psi. She will like the ride of it also. Totally different feel for your passenger.

Nut cage mad if you haven't done it already. I don't know what size tire your going to but you MIGHT need to do it. Austone taxi tire i don't THINK needs the mod. RIDE SAFE.

Go ahead and do the nut cage mod, I recommend running carriage bolts from the inside of the fender out as well. I had my sister-in-law ride with me last fall and didn't think to adjust the suspension. She's much larger than her twin (my wife) and the rear bottomed out a few times over 25 miles of riding. I run a General Altimax 205/60 and there was no rubbing at all.

You and your passenger may find that he bike rides smoother, especially at expressway speeds.
