Can any one tell me if there is a difference between a Valkyrie twin cable throttle tube and a Harley twin cable throttle tube. A silly question i am sure but have been a big fan of Valks for many years and only recently purchased one.

My guess is there will usually be some fitment issues between metric and non-metric bikes.

I can't answer your question specifically, but I do know that the Honda 750 Shadow series throttle sleeve will work.

Let us know what you find.  Since you can't buy the Honda throttle tube by itself, it would be nice to have some knowledge of interchangeability.

Wrong! All but the Aremachi (spl?) dirt bikes of the seventies, use 1" bars.

I'm not sure I understand this statement.  I know of lots of street bikes with 7/8" bars.

Handle bar diameter will not be the only problem.

The throttle housing can also present problems

And additionally the ends of the cables themselves.

Why would anyone want to embrace these?

I wouldn't, if they weren't truly interchangeable.

I'm not keeping my fingers crossed, since I don't think we'll find that HD twin cable sleeves and Honda sleeves are interchangeable.

But if they are, it would be nice to know.
