Ya never know how many good Summers ya have left.

« on: February 18, 2013, 02:54:12 PM »

Hello All,  GOTF is right around the corner!!!!!!!!
The dates this year are:
Friday, April 12th evening
Saturday, April 13th   Ride and BBQ
Sunday, April 14th .... heading home

The motel location that we had set up the last couple years is not in real good shape.....  they are mostly extended stay now, and there is major road construction in the area.

We checked out Oxford Inn and Suites, and they look good!  And they cut us a pretty good deal.

INFO:
Oxford Inn and Suites - Nasa
915 West Nasa Pkwy
Webster, Tx. 77598

Phone:  281-316-2003
Ask for the 'hotglue' Rate:
King=................$52 plus tax
Double Queen=...$59 plus tax
They have around 40 rooms available, some smoking and some non smoking. Free WiFi and cont breakfast.
General Manager is Dave Hasu.   The rooms are not blocked, If you plan to come and stay.... get your room pretty quick!!!!!!
There is a Waffle House right next door, A Hooters across the freeway, and a Twin Peaks with-in a mile south, on the same side of the freeway.

As an overflow, there is a Motel 6 right next to the Oxford.

Motel 6
1001 West Nasa Parkway
Webster, Tx 77598
281-332-4581

Their prices are $56 plus tax for 2 people.  Same price for King or Double Queen, plus they charge $3 / day for internet.
Motel 6 wouldn't make a group rate unless I paid for the rooms up front....LOL... That ain't happening!!!!
If you stay at Motel 6, you maybe able to get a better rate on your own..... they didn't want to talk about it.

Can't Wait!!!!!!

I copied this from Daniel Meyer. I hope you don't mind Daniel? This will show you a little of what the GOTF's is all about.

I have boats I can stay on in Southshore Marina. How far is your place from there?
I really do not want to commute from spring overnight.

Serk, Thanks that commute up 518 or Nasa #1 would beat going thru town.

Marcus,

I'm not Hotglue, but if you're talking about South Shore Harbour Marina at 2551 South Shore Boulevard, League City Texas, that is 13 miles from Mr. Glue's location... (Routed distance via Google Maps, not as the crow flies, estimated 27 minutes travel time.)

We live right down the road from South Shore Harbor. It takes us 25 or 30 minutes to get over to GOTF.

It's up to you, but I went on Priceline and did find one of those extended stay hotels at $29 a night on their Express Deals.  It doesn't tell you what it is but this is it when you book.  Got decent reviews from people who stayed there.  Yeah, I'm cheap.

Extended Stay America Houston - Nasa - Johnson Space Center
Webster - Clear Lake
1410 Nasa Rd. 1, Houston, TX 77058
281-333-9494

Here's the link (don't know how long it will be there)
