Jimmy had his bike hit at the Shriners event. He wasn't on the bike so he's ok. I'm sure he will post details and photos later.

I was eating my 2lbs of crawfish when they came to tell me my bike had been hit.  There was nothing I could do, but take pictures and make sure the old guy that hit my bike was not hurt too bad.  He hurt his shoulder and a spot on his hand was bandaged by the EMTs, but he will be ok.
Well, here we go again.......  Bottom of the trunk is smashed along with the left taillight, trunk lid has a small crack in it, saddle bag rails have some bad rash, left pod is scratched up pretty bad, faring is scratched and cracked, and the left crash bar is toast.
There is a small spot on the tank where the faring hit it, but it might be able to be buffed out.
I guess the good thing is that there is no hardware damaged except for the crash bar.
Well, here are some pics........
The left taillight and trunk.

The crash bar.

The left pod.

The faring.

Ole Blue still won first place in the metric category.  Maybe they did the judging before he was run over.......

That is just terrible, esp with all your recent work/paint.   Cry

So how and what did he hit you with? (sideswipe by another bike?)

The trophy just seems to be some dark humor of the gods at this point (but congrats anyway  cooldude).

Not to steal his thunder...

Another rider was getting ready to leave and fired his bike up...turned out it was I gear and shot off away from him.  Flew across the lot lane and went right into the rear of HH's bike.

If only there were some simple and effective safety switches that could prevent such a thing....  tickedoff

Ironically - the man is(or was) a motorcycle cop.  we have mutual friends so hopefully there won't be a problem.  We have lots of witnesses too.

Glad to see you still got a trophy. Broken parts can be fixed but trophies last forever. How about some bright yellow paint for your bike. Gearjammer should have a gallon or two. All kidding aside glad you"ll are ok.

Major bummer, JImmy! You sure your neck doesn't hurt just a little? You should get something for pain and suffering, maybe delayed cardiac distress?

Congrats on the first place! Hey to BJ!!! ~Jeff
