They're terrific, other than the terror of cutting into the seat.  Fortunately, mine was already installed when I bought the bike Smiley.

Have one on my 03 STD. love it, it has made a world of differance in the ride comfort. You can adjust it in so many ways and it is good size to fit your back. This is my best add on.

My first I/S had one when I bought it in 2000.  When I bought the second I/S a few years ago, I put one on it almost immediately.  I can't imagine being with out it.  The installation isn't bad, just the thought of cutting the seat a bit, but it is well worth it! 

It is nice to be able to put your feet on the forward pegs, and lean back, especially since I am getting a bit older and my back bothers me some on long trips.
