Fitch fuel Catylizer?

I'm probably spelling catylizer wrong, but I was wondering if anyone out there is using these pellet things that you put INSIDE your fuel tank?
The guy behind the counter swears by them and the manufacturer has all kinds of lofty claims about it. Increases horsepower, starts easier, better mileage, stops pinging and lowers emissions for just a few.
Just wondering if anyone can give us some testmonials on this, before I go and blow $50.00 on it.
I have been using Liquid Horsepower or LHP as an additive and it seems okay. Wen't to pick up another bottle for $7.00 when the sales guy tried to talk me into this stuff. Not sure if either one is doing anything other than acting like a placibo.
Thanks

I think that I'd just try to find some 87 octane that didn't have any ethanol in it and spend my $50 on that, but that's just me...JTL

This, or swap your #35 slows out for #38s and slap a Trigger Wheel on the bike...

Sounds like a snake oil salesman to me. Save your money and run any old regular 87 octane.

Here's a discussion of the device on a chemical-engineering BBS:

Itried one in a couple of items; in the Valk, I noticed no changes whatsoever, in a camper, it seemed to help keep the gas fresher, but I have no hard proof. I wouldn't buy another.
