I want to remove the baffles in my Viking pipes. Not permanently but to examine the packing and maybe shorten the baffles a couple of inches. I'd like to get just enough room for the Rex Marine inline silencers. I love the Viking pipes in the city but not the drone on the highway.

I removed the screw on the bottom-back of the exhaust tips and that allows the baffle to slide for maybe 1/4" before binding. I don't want to beat them up by going about this the wrong way.

Suggestions?

If I remember correctly you will have to work them pretty roughly to break the carbon buildup. just push them in a little and start yanking. They are a snug fit so any buildup is gonna effect it.
