Was going to order a set of "Shinko's" after reading "old2soon's" post the other day.

Tires up here are dear, or I'm just used to the prices for my Vol.

A buddy calls me and says he did some work at a place that handle's bankruptcy merchandise and they had some motorcycle stuff there.

Off we go and I came home with a set of Elite's for $300.00 even!

They have been on the shelf for three years according to the date code, but I think I did good!

New E3s on mine not too long ago, rear was $250 and front was $210 plus mounting. Not from Honda, they wanted $308 for rear I believe plus mounting. Replaced the Metz 880 on front which only lasted about 12,000 miles and cost the same as the E3

Sounds like a good deal! im glad you were able to date the tires. Possesing the ability to do that surely will save you trouble in the future!!

That's almost as good of a deal as that valkyrie I paid $1500 for ; )

Hmm..........$308 is about the same from the dealer here although the manager at the dealership by me is a personal friend, so he could do about the same at the $250 but I knew he couldn't touch the deal I got.
