Store on ebay is selling this Avon Motorcycle Tire AM41 Venom (R) Front Tire 150/80HR17 BW for $139.70 plus $10 S/H.  Good tire?  Good price?

should indicate the build date.  I don't think Avon is making the Venom R any longer.

The Avon Venom is a great tire. The newer Cobra is an even better tire. Avon stopped making venoms about a year ago. This one has been sitting on a shelf for quite a while.

I would not be afraid to buy that tire especially at that price even though they have moved on to another model.

Regarding the tire on EBay, I would be a little afraid of it beig a "second" and I would ask that question. However, since the tire has been replaced, it might just be a good deal. I think I just paid about $200 for a front Cobra from HDL.
