Last year I put on an avon roadrider am 130/90/17 with 42 lbs and it cupped really bad within 5000 miles. I got a suggestion to run a kenda challenger which im looking pretty hard at. My thing is that tire says for lightweight touring not for heavy loads. I pull a trailer a couple times a year and almost always 2 up. Anyone have any suggestions on other darkside front tires that has had good luck?

I just installed a Dunlop D-404 130-90-17 and with just 288 miles on it i'm liking it. And it is a bias ply rear tire i'm running on the front. I'm D/S rear so i believe that makes my Phatt Ghurl double D/S.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

I installed a D404 130/90-17 bias rear up front two springs ago. 42# with Dynabeads for balance and over 21K miles on it now. Photo is last summer at a bit over 17K miles on it.

I did this last summer on my 97.  I have a General Altimax on the rear.  The combo is the BEST I have found.  It really made the CT handle more like a MC tire.  Love it!

I see great minds think alike, old2soon!

I also installed a Dunlop 404 130/90-17 bias rear on the front. Run it with 42 lb. of air with Dynabeads. Have 3,000 miles on it and like the way it handles. I am not running it backwards as many on this board are. I had mixed feelings about mounting it in the reverse direction. Any thoughts about what would happen if I took  it off and changed it to run backwards. Remember I have already put 3,000 on it.

I had mine mounted in the proper direction-sidewall arrows matching the rotation. Somebody here-caint recollectt who-said how does the tire know which way it's going??  2funny I've only put 288 miles on mine but i like what i'm feeling with it.  cooldude Going out in a bit and adding to that milage on that front tire.  laugh Grin Wink RIDE SAFE.

I've got a Falken Sincera 205-65-16 Radial car tire on the rear
of my 98 Tourer.

http://www.falkentire.com/Tires/Passenger-Car/Sincera-Touring-SN211-16

Also put a Shinko 150-80-17 Tour Master 230
Bias motorcycle tire on front.

http://www.shinkotireusa.com/product/product.php?id=21

After about 3000 miles, the pair work together very well, straights,
curves, hard accel., hard decel., and high speed up to 115mph.

I'm liking it. The least I've ever spent for two tires.

Next question, how much dynabeads did you guys put in? If I remember I think I put 3 oz in my last one maybe it was only 2. Whatever it was it never bounced or felt off balance even at low speeds.

Ive been using cheappy Kenda rears on my bikes fronts.
Till I got the GW trike.
Its got a Michelin Pilot rear on the front.
I have got to say its a much much better tire then anything Ive previously used.
Its up there with a Bridgestone Battle Axe which would be my 2nd choice.

Anyone that sells Dynabeads has a chart to tell how much for what tire. The dealer should know.
