Hey guys,
I just bought my first Valkyre.  It's great but I really like  heal and toe shifter.  It is a 1997, is it possible to add them to it and what brand would you recommend?

This is a floorboard and heel toe shifter setthat is still available new.  The boards are kind of klunky, and it's expensive.  However, it has the longest reach between heel and toe of any other heel-toe made (which was Kuryakyn and the Rattlebars Kickshifter which most of us that like them have) (good for big feet).  The wider boards probably touch down in a big lean a hair before Cobras will.

If you are a peg rider, forget I mentioned it.

I had a flunky floorboard shifter combination, it lasted about 2 weeks before I took it off.

Then I found Chet's Kickshifter, bought one and added Cobra floorboards and have not looked back.

I've had it several years now.   Works great and I'll be cursed if I would go baxck to the original Honda shifter.

Just my opinion.

I have this unit that I took off.
Is it a rattler?

I have a Rattlebar kickshifter that I got new several years ago, had it on the bike for several monthes, and liked the factory shifter better. More of a posative feel to me. I have been wanting to get a spare alternator and would be willing to trade, even up, to someone that had a good used, low miles, or new alternator. Since I just seen this thread on here, I thought I would post this idea here before I put it on the classifides. pm me or contact at valkyrierider15(NO SPAM)@embarqmail.com. remove the obivous.

I don't have anything to trade, but have you thought of what your price would be?

Mine is a Rattler like MarcusS's, but mine only has one hole in it. I just got it out and used some Never Dull on it and it polished up real nice. It has some marks where I bolted the heal shifter to it, and instead of a spacer on the back side of the bolt where it mountes, it has two big bolts that screw on the bolt for spacers. Haven't really thought about price, but I would like to get close to what a alternator cost. Not trying to gouge anybody, just trying to offset the price of an alternator. If someone wants one, and I'm not using mine, we can work out a deal.
