Tomorrow morning we'll start from Hamburg to Helsinki to be at
the 3rd European InZane in Kouvola (Finland).
Yesterday we loaded our Valk's (29 bikes) on a Truck.
Here the link to the loading:

http://www.m-boeckmann.de/Verladen.htm

The Event will start on Thursday and end on Sunday.
Sunday we'll do some sightseeing in Helsinki and we'll
fly back on Monday.
I'll post the pictures of the Event next week.

Best regards,
Werner

It was great to see you again Werner. I was home 5 hours ago, with totally 3415km
A good ride, good people and a well organized event.
I have a few pictures and a couple of minutes with video, but I'm too tired to upload it now.
You forgot one country, France. See you in France next year!

Great pics, Dag, I looked into a flight from Houston to Zurich May 2010, about $625.00, very reasonable, renting a bike is costly, $1500. to $2000. per week, that is a Goldwing, is there a place where you can purchase the bike and then sell the bike back when your holiday is over? If we were to go to Europe, I think the holiday should be a month long or longer. FB

Bring a bike from USA and sell it here. Send it by seafreigt 5 weeks before you leave.
The seafreigt from Miami to Oslo is less than $700
A 97 - 98 Valkyrie cost about $25000 here (included tax)

Werner, thank you very much for sharing.   That looked like a great Valk rally.  It is interesting that there really are so many similarities to Valk rallys in the US.  Rides, food, friends, custom bikes, etc.

One thing I do notice is that the European riders seem to wear more protective gear in general than we do, and everyone is in full face or 3/4 helmets with face guards.  Are half helmets illegal over there?  Or is everyone just more safety conscious?

I don't really know how it is in europe. In Germany braincaps are not allowed.
Usually it has to be a jethelmet at least.
Most people in Germany drive with an integralhelmet, because of the safety.
Same with the clothing. Most wear Jackets with protectors.
That surely has to do something with the Autobahn, cause we don't have speed
limits there.I drive with a leatherjacket and on events I wear my jethelmet.
Otherwise I use my Schuberth J1.
It gives me the safety of an integralhelmet and the feeling of a jethelmet.
