I am so pumped about this get together I could not wait for Dave to post it!  2funny

Fette Funny Farm Paola, KS

Wrench Party/ BBQ/ Weekend gathering.
Burgers and dogs friday evening for anyone wishing to come on Friday afternoon/evening.
Baby Back Ribs on the smoker for Saturday evening meal.
Bonfire and BS session both evenings.
Beds available at our house or hotel in Paola 7 miles away.
Bring the whole family and have some fun

This should be a great weekend hope everyone can be there. Let us know who will be there so we can make plans for food, etc. If you have some wrenching to be done bring, or get your parts, maybe let us know what you want to do so we can plan on what we need in that arena as well.  Cyndi and I will be there one way or another, so that is two. This is a nice relaxing peaceful location that I am sure you will enjoy!

I will be bringing the following:

Lift table

Synch gauges

fork seal tools

motorcycle jack (sub frame attachment)

2 rear wheel spacers and two double row bearings if someone wants to do the modification.

Mitty Vac

tire changer and tools (including dynabeads)

Things to consider for your bike:

Tire changes

Brake/Clutch fluid flush

Rear end Inspection and service (drain final drive and replace oil and o-rings)

Fork Seals (or even just flush fork spring oil)

Coolant (flush and replace coolant, this should be done every two years according to manual)

Synch carbs

Install accessories

Brakes (inspect/install brake pads)

Lube throttle/clutch/Choke cables

Inspect and lube kill switch and turn signal assembly.

If we can get an idea of who is coming and what they want to do we can adjust time and resources to get as much as we can done.  We will probably do another wrench party in June before Inzane if necessary.

Please feel free to add to the list of things.

Here is what Goodle shows. However our house is just east of Oak Grove Road not where Google shows. We are the first house east of Oak Grove on the north side of 335th Street. 335th street is a gravel road. Block road is the closest paved road which is 1 1/4 mile west of our house.

Here you go Dave this is to your drive way.   Topeka to Dave's fastest route: http://goo.gl/maps/mG5ga

You can drag and drop Flag A to wherever and it will recalculate.  Or delete Topeka,ks on the top left of the screen and put in your city and TA! DA!   cooldude

Good map.

Sounds like a good time.  I plan to be there, but will arrive late as I'm occupied both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

See you all there!

Joe, this would be a better route. Less gravel road. Your route is about 5 1/2 miles of gravel road. This new map is 1 1/4 mile of gravel road. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I'm thinking fork seals and front caliper seals. (something up there is leaking slowly) I have the seals.  I'll pick up some fork oil and brake fluid. What viscosity and amount needed.  Doable? I have a new clutch cable if somebody needs it.  Be in Saturday morning.  Hoser  cooldude

GRDMA BigBuck,

Cyndi and I had an awesome time at the Fette Funny Farm. cooldude It was really good to see everyone and we were able to service and convert Gary Coltrane to the Darkside, which he stated he liked by the way! crazy2 Gary gets the award for being the only one to actually ride a bike to a bike wrench party Shocked, although I understand we missed another with miscommunication, sorry again Hoser! Cry Willow saved the day with a puzzle he brought us ??? we were at least able to help with most of that!  Cheesy

Grandma BigBuck 2funny and his wonderful wife Pam were outstanding hosts, as usual, and Dave cooks a mean slab of ribs I might add. Evil Well worth the two and a half hour drive in the cage. Embarrassed It was good to see everyone, Dave and Pam, Joe, Teryl, and Jimmy, Carl, Gary and Ginger(who bakes a mean cookie as well! angel), Rob and Shehanna. Entertainment was provided by Lane(Grandma BigBuck's grandson) who brought his parents, John and Audrey, and Jimmy who is growing like a weed! Wink

A very enjoyable day in a very relaxing location  angel. All in all a great time, thanks to everyone! Smiley
