My son has a very mild case of Williams’s syndrome.  There is a Mexican kid in his class that gets to have an assistant present to help him in class.  My son gets taken out and put in with the critically disable Kids while the mexican kid gets to have an interpreter explain what the teacher is teaching right in class with the other kids making him look completely normal so that the other kids don't pick on him on the playground.   The school gets extra money because of my son's documented illness, non of which gets to my son because we don't want him to be separated from his class mates and fall further behind.  See, for our son to get assistance he would have to be taken out of the class and put in with the severely disable kids, not that I’m prejudice against that, I just don't like the fact that my son has been denied in class assistance but a non English speaking mexican kid gets assistance because he hasn't been taught English.

Am I upset, no, our school district is ran by doctors, and they're all idiots.

My parents came to America in the '50's, back then if you were on welfare you were there 'cause you couldn't work.  Now a days the people that run the welfare RACKET look for people to place onto the system so that they can spend their budget up to request more money for next year.

I don't normally get involved in political posts, but this is one area that is of great concern to me. For those of you that care to do something about the immigration problems that we face I suggest very strongly that you visit www.numbersusa.com

Numbers USA is a NON PARTISAN group. And yes, they are actually trying to do something about the problem. If you go to this web site make sure you watch the gumball video, it is very eye opening to say the least. Once you sign up you will receive an email when there is important legislation that pertains to  immigration policies or votes that are pending. At that point all you have to do is click on a link and you can send a fax to the senator, congressman, or other politico to show your position on the subject.

I am not against immigration, I am against illegal immigration and the fact that it seems to be allowed for votes and favors.

One more thing before I get off my soap box, I personally think that the internet has been fabulous in some respects, but I really think it has hurt the main stream citizen. We send messages back and forth to like minded people complaining about this or that, and the politicians just sit back and laugh at us because we no longer actually protest what we feel strongly about.

Wayne, I'm sure there will be "stuff" in that collection that's hard to swallow, I'm sure there is some massaging of the figures as is always the case when looking at reports of this type. Are we THAT stupid? I guess so. The US gov't. has run a deportation program at least twice in the past. I think it should at least be considered again, watch how fast they start to disappear if it's threatened.
