Hey guys, first off thanks to Willow for letting me post this here.

Outside my VRCC membership I also ride with Southern Cruisers Riding Club (SCRC) in their San Jacinto chapter.  For those that don't know, SCRC is a national club meant only for riding.  In addition we do charity functions to add to our donation totals.  This year, my chapter is stepping up our efforts to help our charity of choice, the St. Jude Children's Hospital.  Humble is in Northeast Houston for those outside the area.

Here's the nutshell:

San Jacinto River-Chapter 447
Presents Our 1st Annual Bowling Tournament and Bike Show
"Strikes & Bikes"
Benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
MAY 18, 2013

Among the activities:
Silent Auction
Door Prizes
50/50 Raffle
Vendors
Bowling

This will take place at Max Bowl, 2390 Wilson Rd in Humble, TX 77396.  Their phone number is (281) 540-2800.

Registration for bowling tournament starts at 9:00am on the day of the event, the fee is $20 per person, $100 per team of 5. Each team will bowl two games. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest scoring teams, highest scoring male and female.

Registration for the bike show starts at 8:30 am, all bikes must be in place by 9 am, entry fee is $20 per bike. There will be three categories; Sport Bikes, Cruisers and Customs. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.

We are looking for vendors (if you know of any that might be interested, let me know and I can reach out to them and definitely give you credit).  We will have forms for vendors to complete.

Also looking for donations that we can raffle off or use for door prizes.  This is a charitable event and we do have donation forms that I can get to the right people.  Again, let me know who and I'll reach out to them.  This would be greatly appreciated to help make the event a success.

Lastly, and most importantly, we're looking for participants and bowlers.  Put a team together and come hang out for some fun.  Bring the Valk (or other ride) and enter it in the show.

Hope to see a bunch of you out there on the 18th (of MAY) for a great cause.  Would love to see a bunch of Valk's come in and steal all the trophies!!!  Cheesy

Thanks again to Willow for letting me list this event here.

Sounds like fun!  Unfortunately we already have plans for the weekend.  sorry!

Hope it is very successful and good luck in the show.  You need another trophy to go with your other one.  Smiley

I haven't bumped this is a while (so I wouldn't be obnoxious)   Evil

Just wanting to do it now as a reminder that this event is this weekend (Saturday the 18th) at Max Bowl in Humble (Wilson Rd.).  Hope to see some Valk's out and about that day.

Just a reminder that my riding club is putting this event on with all proceeds going to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.  A great cause that we support every year and we are really stepping up this year to try to boost our donation amount to a great cause.

All time information is in the original post.

Had a nice turn out for our first annual event.  Already starting to think about next years event.  About seven teams showed up, about a dozen bikes in show.  Sme good money raised for a good cause.

Met a fellow Valk rider named Jay from Spring.  He's on the forums here as a casual reviewer.  Told him to hook up with us for bike night dinners and keep an eye out for rides.  Sadly he had his Standard for sale.  Nice blue bike, he said about 5600 miles on it.
