Ghostrider285, Well i was born on Oct. 31. Ghost. I love to ride. Rider. I have 2 kids and the last one was born in 1985. I have used this handle for many years on yahoo Euchre, Chess and many other games. Then when the movie Ghostrider came out, everyone thought i got it from there. lol. Just wondering how everyone came up with their handles.

It's what I do for a living now....inspect vehicles, mechanical failures for the company's who are footing the bill (extended warranty company's and vehicle manufacturers, Ford, GM, Chrysler. Needless to say work has slowed down a bit. But at my age....who the hell cares. I can go for a ride when it's slow. Not so during the winter months here in Buffalo NY

Well, when I was real young...10 or 11, I came riding up the driveway on my '63 Honda 50 SS wearing my Dad's RayBan aviator sunglasses...that's when he started calling me "Cool Breeze".  That's the handle I signed up under about 9 years ago, but don't believe I have ever posted under that name,  but reserve the right to change to that at any time.  Instead, I have been using my first name and my last initial with (IA) behind it.

I called a coworker sweet lips one day.  Kiss They called me fudgepacker. It was shortened to fudgie shortly after. That was in 1998 and still called that at work.

Yep, the CBR1100XX is also called the Blackbird.  Mine was a 2000 model.  I just sold it a few weeks ago and I really liked the bike.  It sat in the garage a lot after I bought the Ducati 1098.

I've always wanted a Valkyrie though and just picked up a clean 2003 model.  I'm looking forward to personalizing it.

I joined a "biker gang" (actually a riding club) a few years back. At the time
they were going through a 7 Dwarves kinda thing. The three new members
before me all had Dwarf nicknames. I told them I would be Grumpy, but a
feller about 8 ft tall and 9 ft wide spoke up and said HE was Grumpy. I really
didn't wanna argue with him, so I just said I'd be Bashful. Doc and Dopey were
already taken. I've actually thought a lot about changing it, but every time I
come up with a handle that fits me, I find it already taken in the members section.

I have three older brothers; their names are “freaks” (he just was one), “juke” (use to watch the jubilee hour on TV. it’s really a long story), “mock” (I couldn’t say Mike as a baby and it came out Moock) and me “alph”.  I was always the smallest and in nearly every picture of us boys I would be the shortest.  Kinda looked like those Verizon commercials signal bars.  I started spelling it as ALPH ‘cause of that television show “ALF” and I’ve always been one for originality.

I have since grown up, and actually have out grown my brothers.  We still do the “signal bars” thing for the fun of it….

I bought a 1983 Volkswagen Vanagon in 1996 (I still have it parked in my barn).  Might have been the best car/truck/van I ever purchased.  Drove it many years and many miles.  My second horizontally opposed engine (my first was a Subaru), now it is Valkyrie related.

In 1998, I first signed up for an AOL account, with about a 1200 baud external modem and a keyboard with a spacebar that did not work (I.had.to.space.my.words.using.a.period.and.it.made.searching.terms.impossible).  I requested vanagon for my handle, but it was already taken.  Because I was 40 years old, I requested vanagon40 and it was available.

As far as I know, I am the only vanagon40 on the internet (I google the name every now and then).  I use this handle for almost every site where my handle will appear publicly.  Occasionally I have used vanagon45 (my ebay handle), but almost always vanagon40.

I once tried to sign up for a yahoo account and requested vanagon40 for my handle.  Yahoo informed me that vanagon40 was already taken.  I knew it had to be me, but I had forgotten my password.  I asked for the security question to reset my password.  Q:  "My first car."  I spent an hour trying variations 1964 Chevrolet Malibu and finally hit the right combo.  I knew it was me.

So, if you play online poker or otherwise run into a vanagon40, you can bet is me.  With some effort, you can probably match my real name and address to vanagon40, but I try to keep the two identities separate.
