I wish I was about 150 miles further north so I could take advantage of the lunch rides you guys do up that way. Love going to Sleepy Hollow but it's just short of 500 miles round trip. A little to far for a lunch run Sad

I'll bet that if you called a lunch ride on some Saturday soon, and made it toward some of the other folks, you would get a crowd.  Might be a bit far for us N. of Gainesville, but I bet you would get some takers.  Have faith.  Smiley

Snook Haven in Venice might be a thought for a semi mid point meet up or even Sanabel but yea, your pretty far down the peninsula. Planning an overnighter for maybe early June past you and on down to Flamingo and back. If timing permits might be able to grab lunch in your area. Used to fish out of Naples when I was young, it wasn't too built up back then. Nice area!

Snook Haven is only about 75 miles south for me. that is doable.

73.9 miles for me, lets do it soon before it gets too hot  DOWN THERE.
Looks like a nice destination. Reminds me of when we went North to see Flask and he took us on a Pontoon boat ride. Maybe we can do lunch and a boat ride?

James, I'm sure the Naples area is more populated now. It more than likely has more tourists now than locals when you came down to go fishing.

It's hard to get farther south without getting your feet wet, Grin and yes it is a little warmer DOWN HERE.

I'm not familiar with the Venice area or Snook Haven, but I'd sure like to do a meet and greet and check it out if we can set a date that fits folks schedules.
Troyers Dutch Heritage Restaurant is a buffet in Sarasota. The VTX group I ride with on occasion has had meet and greets there. The staff was very accommodating when we called and told them we'd have 30 people showing up for lunch. Keep that place in mind if you all are OK with a place that doesn't serve beer.

The Sarasota area has a few good places,  a couple of hours at the Ringling Museum wouldn't hurt either.  Several nice places to eat in the area.
After I get my first meet and greet with the group underway, might be able to get another local or so to do a scouting ride down that way with me. Don't want to get my plate too full until I get my bike rebuild done, the parts are taking up more space than the bikes. As we head into riding season, early morning rides become much more enjoyable as the heat will be upon us all. Keep the faith down there, your not forgotten!
