Longer Oil Filter?

I finally found a oil filter that my Rivco cover will fit, but it is about a 1/2" longer, it is a Wix 1356 (used to be a 51356, but the guy at NAPA told me they dropped the 5 from the part number), anyway my question is with the additional length will I still be ok with 1 gallon of Rotella, or do I need to add more?

1 gal will do fine. With the stock filter it's like 3.8 or 3.9 qts. Use the full gal and have a look see at the dipstick. RIDE SAFE.

Just checked with my local NAPA store today, Fred checked his book and it showed a 1358 for the Valk. I asked for the 1356 and compared them. The 1358 is the same length (3") as the OEM.  the 1356 is 3 3/8 ". Same diameter and upon checking his stats, it shows that the by-pass relief on the 1358 is 8# and 1356 is 11# with the threads the same. I bought the 1356 and compared it with the OEM on my Valk and Goldwing. Wing filter is only 2 1/2 long. If buying the OEM filter, you have to watch or the dealer will sell you the shorter one for the Wing. Thanks for bringing this up as I do like the Wix filters.
