The snow is starting to melt and I underburied the valk this weekend but noticed a small plug and hose clamp laying on the ground under it.  It looks like one of the two breather tubes that exit near the kickstand had a breather or plug clamped on that fell off during the winter.  I assume one goes to the tank and the other to the carbs, but which one is capped and which one is supposed to be open?  Thanks!

The dirty one with an indentation where the little spring clip/clamp goes should be the breather tube.

I also think it is a tad larger diameter than the other but could be wrong.

That plug should be periodically removed to drain the "Dragon drool".

It's the tube that goes to the bottom of the black plastic collector box located near your key switch.  This is supposed to be drained every 6k miles but I do it once a year (8-10k miles) and only get a few tea spoons of crud.

If you happen to take any long rides in the rain, the breather crud multiplies quickly (still not that much, but more than usual).

There is also another tube that tee's into it. This tube goes directly to the air intake box.

Ok, I'm an idiot.  Of course the one with the clamp indent is the one the clamp fell off of  uglystupid2
