Hi There ! cooldude

A simple question :  when using a K&N filter + pre-filter, do you take away the original joint that sits between the upper and underpart of the airbox - or do you mount this joint as you do with the original airfilter.

if you're talking about the o-ring type seal, you won't need it as the K&N has the grooves that replace it.  Put it in a drawer in case you go back to stock air filter.
