Hello All, I'm rebuilding my 99 Valkyrie Tourer.

#1 part of my rebuild is the engine.
I know with cars there are engine kits with a better cam, heads and intake manifold.
Are there Valkyrie engine kits for better performance OR could I replace the Valkyrie engine with a Goldwing 1800cc engine?

#2 part is I want to get a fat tire on the rear.  what has worked out there?  any kits to recommend?
Ill be looking for custom polished wheels also.

I own two black 99 Valkyries and want to customize one.
I'm open to any suggestions on my rebuild.
Many Thanks - SoCalYaqui

all of your questions have been answered many, many, many times.

there are no cams that are any good. 49 state cams make a few more HP than the calf. cams

best performance and way cool install the supercharger kit

200 series or a car tire, unless u track down one of the foreign kits $$$$$$ for a larger tire

Why are you rebuilding the engine. These bikes go 250,000 miles with few problems.
As to the port/polish question: Don't bother. Most that do it say they wasted their time.

If you are serious about a port and polish, contact Attic Rat.

Best of luck on your project.

If you are serious about performance, get a blower.  Otherwise, leave the engine alone and $pend your cu$tomizing effort$ on accessories, suspension, seats, exhaust, additional lighting, fairings, cosmetics, etc. that will "make it yours".
