We took off the morning to drag some pegs across Hwy.116 " The Devil's Triangle " . Weather was hot but not that bad on the mountain and much of Hwy.116 is in the shade.Took a few pictures of us playin' in one of the curves.

Well they finally shut down Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary the gate was wide open....Brushy was Tennessee oldest penitentiary and one time home to James Earl Ray.

The guard would'nt let us through the gate but I did get this shot...Built in 1896 I ask him what he was guarding and he said I'm just here to see that no one comes past this gurad shack  Undecided

South Carolina opened CCI (Central Correctional Institution) in 1867, they just
shut it down about 10 years ago. I had to visit a friend in the other main correctional
facility for a while when CCI was still open, it was quite clear that nobody wanted
to be in CCI...

They knocked most of it down in 1999. It was on some prime property on the Broad River, right in
Columbia. It is an upscale neighborhood now.
